Chapter Eleven
The torrential rains poured heavily from the skies over the invaded land that was the Empire. Lightning made its judgmental debut on any unlucky souls who happen to enter its crosshairs. The castle itself was in a dire situation. The south wall was heavily fought over taking many casualties as well as the other walls of the Empire. Above on the castle’s main building, three figures stood; Evil Sonidow, Zabobula, and the G4Forian ruler, Robo. Zabobula’s anger grew the longer Robo stood in between him and Sonidow so he hastened the situation by aiming his palm, filled with his powerful energy, at him. “Move or die Robo,” Zabobula announced, “last call.” Robo looked at the Stickman, “This is the second time you have aimed at me with intent on killing me. Tell me can you really do it?” His question caught the Stickman off-guard. “What do you mean?” “I mean you have spent all this time looking for me,” Robo began, “You have always wondered where I was after the incident. But you could never find me. Tell me, did you miss me?” “Is this some sort of joke?” Zabobula said. “No,” Robo began, “I know you, Stickman, almost as well as you know yourself. You have always been fascinated with my power. But you also know what I am capable of. So I again ask you, can you really do it? Kill me?” Sonidow interrupted the conversation as he swiped his sword to his side, “Only one way to find out. Let’s see who truly is the strongest here.” With that said, the dark hunter charged madly at both Robo and Zabobula, smashing the hilt of his sword on the Stickman’s head and hacked at Robo. However, he missed Robo as the G4Forian ruler leapt into the air. Zabobula proceeded with letting the energy out of his hand at Sonidow who was right in front of him. But Sonidow stood there and used his sword blade as his shield as the wave of energy dispersed into two different directions. Robo, still in midair, came down gathering energy into both of his hands and shot them both at Sonidow and Zabobula below. The two leapt separate ways, avoiding the blasts, and dashed for Robo. “You will not defeat me!” Robo shouted as he harnessed the power he had within himself and released it upon his opponents in one large domed explosion. The Stickman powerful rage was not enough to withstand Robo’s explosion of power. He was smashed into the secondary building’s rooftop below. Sonidow, however with his long katana, made his way through the explosion and headed towards Robo. “Damn his power,” Zabobula thought to himself standing back up, “But why was Sonidow able to make it through and not me? Could it be…?” ~
Drahcir stood in the midst of the Dark Rebellion who continued their charge toward the south wall facing Blue-Phoenix who stood several feet from him. Drahcir held up his blue beam sword and said to Blue-Phoenix, “This is your last chance. Move out of my way. You do not concern me. It is the one called Sonidow who I am after.” “Whatever business you have with him,” Blue began, “you can conduct with me.” “So you wish to die then?” Drahcir asked. “Then we shall do business. But your death alone will not satisfy me. Sonidow will pay for what he did.” “What fuels you to go after someone who you cannot defeat?” Blue asked. “He killed my brother,” Drahcir said gritting his teeth, “He and anyone who stand with him shall pay dearly. And apparently, that includes you.” Blue-Phoenix was on edge for the moment, but he regained himself and held up his sword for a battle declaration. Drahcir did the same. There was a pause in time as the two squared off preparing to clash into each other. Sounds could barely be made out. It all sounded like covered noises. But the storm clouds above began illuminating the region and a large bolt of lightning came down. The pause was over. Drahcir was the first to take off. His beam sword created a trail of light behind him as he dashed at Blue-Phoenix who stood firmly. The soldier from the other world leapt into the sky and came down hard on BP’s ice sword. The clash created an unusual flare in betwixt the two blades that scraped on each other. Drahcir broke from the clash and began coming at BP from different angles. Blue’s ice sword stood up well against Drahcir’s beamed weapon. He did his best to deflect most of Drahcir’s unorthodoxy range of attacks. This was a true test for Blue-Phoenix. He had never fought someone with this different style before, but he held up well. “You have quite the skill,” Blue-Phoenix said blocking another attack from Drahcir, “But you will not defeat me. I will not allow it.” “You have no say in the matter,” Drahcir said as the two came into a power struggle. “What do you mean by that?” Blue asked. “I can see it in you,” Drahcir said, “You do not have a strong will to fight against me. Your emotions are confused. My will to fight is very strong because I have lost someone dear to me. But you have no strong purpose. No motive.” “I have a motive,” Blue-Phoenix countered, “I am fighting to replace the current Empire. And with Sonidow as our leader, we will destroy this Empire and build a new one its place. ” “At the cost of all these lives?” Drahcir asked. “Do you even know what your ‘leader’ is truly capable of?” The two broke off their clash. Blue-Phoenix was silent for a small moment, “What do you mean?” “He could destroy this entire area if he wanted to,” Drahcir said. “I have of this Sonidow from my world. He has inhuman power and it revolves around electricity. And this storm will be the perfect catalyst for unleashing his power.” “How will I know this to be true?” Blue-Phoenix asked. “Watch the lightning,” Drahcir said. “When it turns purple, that means that he is controlling that bolt. I have seen this before. He can destroy an entire area with powerful bolts of lightning from the sky.” “How do you know this?” Blue-Phoenix asked. “Because he used this power to destroy my brother,” Drahcir said looking down. Blue-Phoenix seized the opportunity as Drahcir dropped his guard. Using his ice sword, he created a large blue cloud enveloping the area between the soldiers and them. The soldiers were thrown into disarray as they scampered away from the enlarging cloud. And suddenly, it disintegrated with no one inside it. ~
Marshall and Silva’s brigade of soldiers hindered most of the soldiers that came at them from the east wall of the castle. Lauli was leading with the highest body count. With no weapons, he slew countless enemy soldiers with his mere fists. But the large cluster of soldiers began piling upon Lauli in a large heap, overwhelming him. Then a large blade came down from above and slashed through the clump of soldiers. The pile of soldiers began running away but the large blade ran ramped and began hacking away at them. Blood rained as the sword plowed through the enemy forces, decapitating and even eviscerating them. Eventually, the cluster of soldiers had been completely destroyed and the remaining forces stood in awe. “Well, well,” Lauli said, standing up, “Nice of you to join us, Zanshin, the Berserker.” The man identified as Zanshin spawned to the side of Lauli. He bore black shoes, a black cape, and a red headband on his forehead. He also bore a large scar over his body. “My Zanbato is always drawn to a good mêlée,” the swordsman stated. “We saw you in need of help so we decided to play the eponymous ‘hero’.” “And so you did,” Lauli said, “But I believe in doing so, you have exceeded my body count.” “Is that a problem?” Zanshin asked with a tone as if attempting to provoke him. “Well,” Lauli said looking at the remaining enemy forces, “I could say we are even and whoever kills the most of the remaining wins.” “I didn’t realize that we were competing,” Zanshin said slowing raising a smile. “But if you insist…” The two ran smack into the remaining forces and began hacking or battering them away. Marshall and Silva looked at the two below. “When did the Berserker get here?” Marshall asked. “It’s weird,” Silva began, “No soldiers came in from the west. So I sent STM to get our reinforcements from Stageland.” “All of them?” Marshall said with a change in his vocals. “Yes, all of them,” Silva said. “Hopefully you and him won’t meet this time.” “I hope not,” Marshall said. “It’s bad enough…” An explosion occurred in the sky derailing Marshall’s sentence from continuance. “What the Hell is going on up there?” Silva asked aloud. ~
Razen and Azriel’s battle spewed out into the open area of the castle. The main building was taking too much damage and its foundations were beginning to deteriorate. Azriel quickly threw four lethal cards at Razen, who leapt out of their path. “What’s the matter?” Azriel asked chasing after Razen. “I thought you wanted to fight close combat? Why are you running?” “All in a matter of time, Azzy,” Razen said changing his hold on his sword as he ran toward the north wall. “Let’s not prolong this any further,” Azriel said getting serious. He grabbed a larger stack of cards from his pocket. They began glowing blue in his hands and he hurled them at Razen. As the cards took flight, they began spinning together in unison in a large circular pattern. Razen attempted another evading dash but suddenly all of his motions were stopped. He was trapped inside the ring of cards that kept spinning. “What’s this?!” Razen shouted. “I…can’t…move!” “Ah yes,” Azriel said drawing another card from his pocket. “And now you have lost. You have been ensnared in my favorite card trick, the Movement Flush. Once caught in the card’s circular path, my opponent’s movement is ceased. The cards only stop when the unlucky soul caught inside…is dead.” The Empire’s leader struggled with all of his might to get free but it was all in vain. Azriel walked up to the stiffened Razen. He got in his face and held a card that began flashing red in front of him. “Unfortunate for you…isn’t it?” ~
Robo and Evil Sonidow exchanged heavy blows in the sky as Zabobula continued trying to regain himself after he was impacted by the powerful explosion. The fact that he was struggling angered him to no end. His eyes began changing from the malevolent purple to a crimson red like his lustrous skin. “I will not be outdone,” Zabobula said gritting his teeth heavily. “I will show them the true power of the Red Stickman.” With that said he charged his enigmatic red energy and blasted off into the conflict that grew more dangerous with every passing second. “Is that the Red Stickman he fights with above?!” “Yes, that is him, Zabobula.” “This could be dangerous. But who is the other one?” “I don’t know. But there’s only one way to find out.”
