Mod powarz?
#11
>So why don't you just make these stealth-mods visible?
1) doesn't make much difference
2) it's effort on the admin's behalf to press those damn buttons and mouse clicks
3) some of us are shy *blushes*
4) some of us are not around all the time to be given the actual title of Global Mod
5) some of us prefer pulling the strings from behind
6) being invisible turns some of the users on

the list can go on :D

So it's less effort to actually take your time and create a whole new usergroup, instead of pressing those damn buttons and mouse clicks.

Oh and, I agree to the rest ;D
Except maybe 1) and 4) too.

^ by now it is.. cause now they have already done the thingy with the usergroup.. but if they would have to change the stealthmods into visible mods.. they would have to click which is effort => Bp says "No."

didn't mean it that way. I meant is as in takes more mouse clicks to turn a few people orange (user title of course, can't help imagining turning people into fruits with a few mouse clicks :D)

The VIP group existed more or less since the abandonment of danethical originally just as a title for blokes like me who at some point administered the site and forums or has helped MH to the extent which he must have to "give" us something in return for the favours he owes us(oh yes... we live in a deep dark world with all the corruption and what not... it's all about teh money). In a strife that lasted for weeks, we went on to the negotiating table and drew up a final contractual agreement where at least some of us gets to keep the POWER which each and everyone of us so crave for, but we need to take a step back and agree to have our titles confiscated and instead given a lame one called VIP. aka very irrelevant person...

This week aside, how often have I been seen online? Plus when I am, I am only known for vociferously arguing for and against new forum policies among the staff.
you are right in the sense that it would be different, and the difference being me probably getting a pile of questions in my inbox but unanswered.

From what I understood from that nice story about VIPs, they are able to edit too?

If that's right, then again: Why don't you make stealth-mods visible (VIPs)?

not all VIPs are able to do that, but I won't post who can and who can't so people can have fun guessing and blaming which is occasionally a means of mild entertainment

also, I did not explain very clear just now. some VIPs only have GM abilities but not admin ones. It was all in the contract penned with blood and tears. Even if I could, I won't because the reasons a few posts above certainly prevents me from doing so.

This discussion about modding stuff is seriously starting to go on my nerves. Mod or not mod, if your post's been edited, it most probably violated some forum rule. You should live with it.

^ Well you know I was talking about edit of the original post content itself, not comments/additions.
