my favorite instrument by far is the drums set
too bad i don't play it due to lack of resources ($$$) and talent :P

the only instrument i have played was the clarinet but i quit tht for one year (at age 10)

well i dont have a major favourite but i equally enjoy the instruments i play atm, piano, guitar and singing (yah its not playing but who cares)
i'd class it as enjoying music as a performer so it doesnt matter what instrument i play
i played trumpet for a few years in school and tried cello but i've stopped them.
has anyone joined a school band or ensemble?
i'd say i enjoyed the trumpet the most when i was with my school ensemble :P

Just to stay slightly ontopic-
I like most Chinese instruments. Except for the erhu when played by an amateur. Want to know how it sounds like? Try prodding a cat with a hot stick.

My favourite instrument is piano(+keyboard) whereas instruments I used to play are melodica (mini-keyboard and blown to sound) and the recorder.
Didn't play quite much instruments, but as long as I can play pianos...

Obviously, there's no beating Ramond in these threads, but i might as well post what I can play:

Piano (organ), Clarinet, Bass Clarinet and a bit of guitar.

Aaaand, while this is a rather short list, I do also write music. Every once in a while. Though my guess is that at least Dome and Ramond does the same.

my bloody computer is playing up, so i cant listen to other peoples music

for your trumpet, you should look on the internet for the fingering, a little bit of knowledge of the trumpets range would help. such as the lowest note on the trumpet is only 4 tones away from middle c =\
