Your strawberry frog looks like a distorted pokemon thing...so I guess it doesn't look like a strawberry or a frog.

The hat changes to deep black too quickly. More gradual change.

And the monocle looks....off.....it's a bit unclear.

dunno if this is detailed enough... in 32x32i could make the skull more noticeable, but it will need much longer... whaddayasay?

Reaper one- doesn't look scary enough, it's so chibi-ish. He's supposed to be evil and magical and blah and blah.
eddie one- the hat thing is way better, but I still don't like his mouth... it looks so weird.
