..And I just go for arrowkeys + z x c (z = attack, x = jump, c = defend)
Shmup controls, really

1: wsad
attack: g
jump: h
defend: j

or
2: arrows
att: insert
jump: delete
defend: enter

or I use my controller:
arrows
att,def and jump in same order like keyboard.

I know.. but somehow I get used with that, I never got problems to control a char with my thumb
