People should be voting on the combos and moves instead of the sprites. Also, if you're good enough, people might vote you even if it's a stickman.

Well, I guess people vote on the whole picture here. So both the quality of the sprites and the animation. So you can make a stickman animation, but probably won't find too many people voting on you because it's just a stickman.

Actually, I think xiao xiao(stickman) is the martial arts master. Besides, why do we draw templates or new sprites? Wouldn't it be easy just to draw stickman?

hm all in all same as the others already said.
this is still a spriting contest, if you like to do stickman animation i think ur wrong here, there are plenty of nice Stickman sites e.g. Fluidanimns..
still u can try to entry, maybe first make the stick frames and then just try to make a body over the stick... then u got a simple template on which u can sprite

why is a combo only for pros? everyone can try doing one, everyone can try to improve his skills
i ment origional LF2 size not 200 or 400 %
i already said a few times time can be changed

I will think of some combo. Got more free time next week. It's a good stimulance to work on my character as well.

I just got an idea.
You could change topic's name to 'Move contest', and we could put here also combos using magic or something like that.
My themes:

-Boxing
-Sword Slashing
-Containing Explosion
-Containing Throw
-In air
-Containing Clones
-Containing Element (Water/Fire/Wind/Ice/Electric/Ground/) (theme for each element)
-Containing Item (Sword/Stick/Bow/Heavy Weapon/Rope) (theme for each element)
-Containing 2 people

There could also be themes for single moves, like kick-up, energy blast, body splitting move... etc. <- These would be a lot easier and, probably, more popular.
And we could even start with a single move, so there might be more participants who could cope.

and then, i love this idea gad, i already thought bout the problem that when the contest is just about martial arts we will fast go out of themes :/

so this idea of a contest just about moves, small or big, is perfect and more rich in variety
