Naruto > DBZ in my honest oppinion.

In DBZ EVERY fight is the same, starting with one episode of arguing and insults, then with 5 episodes of clashing and throwing thousands of kibombs. Then they lament about "Lol, let's fight with full strength" and the rest is done in a single episode.

The canon fights in Naruto are WAY beyond that. My favourite one is Shikamaru vs .... damn, forgot the name of that immortal guy with the scythe.
As well, Naruto has definitely more backstory, reasoning for abilitys and character developement. Not just "Hey, i trained one year and suddenly can fly and have a x100 strength boost".

The original Dragonball series was quite neat, but DBZ lost much of it's appeal to me.

The only thing good about DBZ is DBZ Abridged :3

You can't just judge an anime by watching some episodes.
Hey, I didn't get interested in DBZ too until I watch from Vegeta VS Goku to Buu VS Goku. Naruto will be the same, watch more and you will slowly get interested.
By the way, does anyone watch Bleach?

true.. dbz didnt have that much depth. but akira began to realize that a bit late, thats why he made the trunks story and kakarrots father story and its still not much.

Most of the new animes gained some inspiration from DBZ to begin with. Naruto was interesting when it was occurring around everyone else -i.e rock lee, shikamaru, neji etc.
But shippuden basically just said: let's make it so only Naruto and Sasuke become really strong, I mean, It's not like anyone else trains or anything. On top of that, Naruto isn't very creative. I mean, look at Naruto's moves = he creates clones, he performs a rasengan = 1 year training = a bigger rasengan. When he uses kyubi's chakra = a bigger rasengan that's red.

If anyone is reading the recent manga, the creator of Naruto just got lazy and realized that the only way Naruto can beat Tobi/Madara Uchiha is simply by making him move at the speed of light, and performing more rasengans.
Lastly, Naruto has been chasing Sasuke for like 400 episodes =/
The show is just simplistic.

DBZ on the other hand was interesting- not DBZgt, that was sh*t. The story line was interesting but a bit repetitive, but the maker of DBZ wanted to end it with Frieza, but people wanted him to continue so it lead to Cell which he promised to end on but didn't. People wanted more, so he basically decided to make Buu (he's basically the ultimate fighter) and it ended with him.

U know wat. I watched naruo and one piece. Naruto was nice but it was full of 'I am gonna fight for U sakura, hinata and all the girls in the world' I hated the dramatic fights and the way naruto shows a new power when he is about to be defeated. What the heck is that. I totally agree with Madara. one piece is much more better , and its fights are more kind of balanced and way more exciting!. Can't wait to see the next episode! Go zoro!!!! And show that hody wat U are made of!!!

It's annoying, so please guys seriously stop this sh*t, because in all seriousness you aren't better than anyone else and this thread isn't better than the thousands of threads i have seen before about all sorts of crap.
Naruto vs DBZ, Naruto vs Bleach, Bleach vs One Piece, vice versa of all of it and so on. Every addict of a major anime thinks if he can put other major animes down then he helps his anime series out.

I personally watched DBZ 10 times already, am at my third run with the original naruto series, watch weekly naruto shippuden, bleach, one piece, fairy tail and the like, have watched quality stuff like yu yu hakusho, katekyo hitman reborn at least 4 times and have also watched alot short ones (24 eps at max), so I know what i am talking about.

So if any of you jackasses think they can change someone else's (not that dude) opinion or personal liking then think again or get a damn brainplumber. Or just realize that you are damn stupid and belong to the idiot sector of the world. Everyone has their preferences. Be it for music or anime, it doesn't really matter. Ofc you can recommend others to watch this anime or movie you like but you can't expect to be able to change this persons feelings and likings.

@mundvoll: i have read manga, tried really hard, but I didn't get into it. I am a very music & sound depended kind of person. I need Naruto to scream out you damn idiot in japanese, hell even when i started to read some naruto chapters (cuz i couldn't stand waiting each week) i imagined naruto's voice actually saying that. I need openings, endings and the voice of the chars. It's not about the animation for me.. i am okay with manga and how they draw the situations, but not that the music & sound part is missing. So I think you can't really change that either ofc you can recommend me or others to read manga, but if there is truly someone who just can't read manga then you can't really change it

In all honesty, trying to evaluate fights with characters of entirely different "universes" is a thing i did when i was a 10 years old :§
It just doesn't work out, it's like comparing the comfortability of a chair to the weapon power of a tank.
