Just a quick suggestion. Since you show the top portion of the aura that is flowing at the bottom, you could add a bit of a curvature to the bottom of the hour glass and also show some of the top portion of the candle too. If looking from above is what you aim for, that is..

Personaly, I don't like it. It shouts too much Empire tho it should be Little Fighter because we all are here thanks to it. Would use blue instead of violet/purple. Maybe use of brighter colors to give warm feeling.
