A firebolt is considered a blast spell (one shot), so even if it did have a warm up effect, it would not even last a few seconds, so ultimately it wouldn't make any difference. You cannot burn wood without building a proper fundament either (which currently isn't possible within your surroundings).

I have a sinking feeling that Nave isn't notified through the subscription emails anymore due to the Forum Update...

Blue Phoenix: Bah, cowards, let's move on. A little breeze of chill hasn't hurt us so far.

And so the group moves on, however, they feel the temparature dropping little by little with each step they advance. The cave's walls slowly take on a purely icy form.

snorsorbet: *shudders* Enough, I'll turn back. This is too much.
Simon: Relax, we're here! Look at... this...

Simon's voice audibly drops in disappointment. The cyan glimmer the group could make out from the distance was just a little shining icicle stuck inside the icy wall in front of them. A dead end.

SirFrog: Damn, this smells like another trap. We should get out of here before...

A sudden, very weird noise behind the group startles them. It sounds like... ice melting in reverse?

SirFrog: No...

They turn around and gaze in awe as the path in front of them is slowly sealed off by a thin layer of ice, gradually increasing in thickness.

Nave: No, stop that!!

But, in other news, in this situation you guys can only control your own controlled characters (Bamboori: Bamboori and Drahcir, etc.). Don't worry, I'll wait for everybody to chime in.

Nah subscription still works, but I didn't have the time to look into it
