the shading is better in the second one, but the hair is like.... smashed on the head :P
Prefer you work with the first version, but keep focus on the hair. You tend to cut a great part off...

Try making the hair larger and it will look abt thrice as good.

It is better, but still too small. The hair should be as big as / bigger than the head.
