Maybe try making the legs normal length for the attack but have like some sort of shadowy/wind effect at the end of the foot. That way the proportions look normal and you can still have the longer reach.

This is what I'll probably do, thanks ;) The attack will change into some melee combo anyway, so it will have a whole diffirent effect.

I practically finished all sprites in nino_0 and nino_1. Some in nino_2 as well. Now I really need ideas.

Some ideas:
1. Slide attack
2. Kick up (non -flip) .. Might use this for jump attack.
3. Flip kick (new sprites, diffirent from woody's)

4. (done) Flying kick down
5. (done) Normal kick down (like Dennis')
6. (done) triple kick, will change sprites

Need: idea for a dash attack, a ranged attack, a few combo attacks (some I can think of myself :))

I didn't even know some of these kicks were possible, sweet :D

Hmm.. Must admit that ideas for kicks are not that hard to find.

Then all I still need is a ranged attack.. and sorry, but I'd love to give him some sort of non-human move like most LF2 chars have.

I haven't posted much here recently. This because I only showed my updates to a few people.

Now, there is the idea to make a D>A.

The basic idea of the attack is that he puts his arms crossed in the air, then he slashes as if he's using 2 swords, and a sharp energy blast comes out that will disappear pretty quickly.

However, I'm having trouble with the sprites. I can't seem to get the first sprite right. I'm already thinking of leaving it out, but it would be best not to start the move with the 2nd sprite already.

First sprite is meant as a short charge for the move.
On the second sprite he moves his arms fordward
On the third sprite he releases his arms and his blast (arms wide and down, still has to be made)
Fourth sprite is just to make it look better ^^

I hope there's somebody here who's able to help :) Would really appriciate it.

(oh.. the color of his arms is not a problem, I will make it better.. The main problem is the stance. I don't know where to place his arms, shirt and chest)

Hmm, may I make a suggestion that could slightly improve the looks for you Neo. If you look at the pectoral muscle when you raise your hands above your head, they tend to bulk out less as they stretch. So try to make the shading around them a slight bit less dark when he raises his hands (if you don't understand, chest muscles should be slightly less apparent in first sprite, and look a bit more light in the shading area).

Arms look a tad bit too straight. Have them bent a little more so that it looks better. Also, rather than have the arms go straight up. Have the upper arm go forwards like the 2nd frame, but a little more pointing upwards. This'd give a reasonably more realistic approach.

Nice try though :D
One day, I shall become, TUTORIAL-MAN: Superhero of writing overly long, overly annoying tutorials which most people probably won't read, but will give it a stab at the first 5 lines!

About the first sprite problem.
If you take the first sprite in the picture, then I can understand why the move doesn't look right.
I mean, how would he get his arms up so high so fast?

Try to... make that pose for yourself.
And then watch exactly how your arms are like, before you get to that pose.

Something like that:
