I don't understand why are you saying that legs are short. I mean, I am not getting it at all. According to me his leg's size suits his height and that's why we cannot call it short.
Otherwise also, I prefer making paints on waist to make sprites more appealing. Does that make my sprite's leg look short?

Hair looks different cuz' it's merged with the shades of the red ball(from left hand side) and the charging ball on the the right hand side.

Actually,a fusion makes use of characteristics of both chars.The characteristics of both the chars need to be taken in 50-50 ratio.
But in your sprite,it is more like a new version of Freeze.Where are Davis' characteristics?
He's about to shoot an ice ball,which is from Freeze.
His clothes are like Freeze's.
Only his hair is different-a dark blue colour.
