Why the IRC? This thread is for discussing these matters...

About the "stopping death from coming" ... Did you even read about what I was talking about? D:
Why should I believe in what the Quran says? How can you prove it's the word of 'God', and not that of a human?

Edit@V:

I tried.

Quran is book of Allah
and if you think that people have written this book you are wrong
because it was befallen by Allah
and we have only done the work of photocopying it
and there has been no change in it since along time

nope, only some of them. While those which are explained, has been great brain of scientists. Anyways they wouldnt be that smart if god didnt wanted them that smart.
If you can't explain them, it doesn't mean that they cannot be explained. Give us one example you think that cannot be explained even with science.

Isn't it strange that A-Man and Kashif who are little younger than the ''not-believers'' believe in god? Maybe they haven't got the education we have (atleast in my country we really do trust to brain, not to feels :/ ), or it's just their cultural point to have faith closer to you?
Might be back, might be not :^) anyways awesome to see you guys again!

uh-uh :/ religion is the main cause of war, and only believing in christianity, or christian god blabla will definetely not help, not cuz the world is evill bla bla....
for example:
you know the song imagine by john lennon
listen to it here
so...
now after listening...
Imagine, with John Lennon, a world with no religion. Imagine
no suicide bombers, no 9/11, no 7/7, no Crusades, no witch-hunts,
no Gunpowder Plot, no Indian partition, no Israeli/Palestinian
wars, no Serb/Croat/Muslim massacres, no persecution of Jews
as 'Christ-killers', no Northern Ireland 'troubles', no 'honour
killings', no shiny-suited bouffant-haired televangelists fleecing
gullible people of their money ('God wants you to give till it
hurts'). Imagine no Taliban to blow up ancient statues, no public
beheadings of blasphemers, no flogging of female skin for the crime
of showing an inch of it. ive heard that John Lennon's magnificent song is sometimes
performed in America with the phrase 'and no religion too'
expurgated. One version even has the effrontery to change it to 'and
one religion too'

see this is not fair
self ignorant people believing in one religion is the cause of war
religion is unfair
this is all due to the belief of god, who is actually not present :/

Ok I haven't read the whole thread and saw it just yesterday and found something interesting that u guys will like to know ...
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home/...669433.cms
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/...n-science/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higgs_boson
It says that 99.99% a God Particle is there which has created the whole universe...
Its just kinda a recent discovery [maybe some days or today]
And Yes I believe in God.

Ain't nobody trust feelings here..... We got brains to think, every thing gotta have a creator, and the creator of this universe and our creator is what we call god. Further more, holy books were sent to explain more... We can't say that god was "created" because he looks nothing like us. For instance, someone else(the member) programmed a data changer. The data changer got organs (a text editor and a decrypter for the lf2 data). Someone else added in the discription that he created it. But if we ask "if someone else really programmed the data changer, who programmed someone else? and where in this hard disk does he live??". and then we pick the right answer as "well then someone else probably doesn't exist" this is all wrong, because someone else got nothing like the program. His world is different. And this goes same with god. We can c the clues which are the holy books. And we got brains to conclude and understand.........

hmm about the Higgs_boson, as far as I understand (if I'm wrong, please state because I read everything quickly rather than carefully), even though it's called 'God Particle', actually it's another theory of how the universe was created, thus, instead, it disproves the existence of God since that certain particle is the substitute of the God Himself.

Btw, if you study bio-chemistry, lol, you are forced to believe that human consciousness (and spirit, and everything that we feel or think) are all a result of chemical reactions, thus souls never have existed.. perhaps most of those scientists are atheists then?

LOL at last I managed to read the whole five pages. Omg... so difficult to keep reading those things, but I really did. I see some of the points from the non-atheists as well. I even watched your video, Kashif, but... the arguments are quite easily denied, for example the first one, 'The Hour has come near, and the moon has split' , if later human landed on Moon and take sample rocks to the Earth, so that the Moon is somewhat split, it's just a coincidence.. because who will say the moon has split just because human took very very little portion of it? The next arguments can also be fought one by one, but I'm too tired to do it all..

If you guys have time, btw, please watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7E3Erouv9E
That video has been approved by many people, so I think it should contain many of the best arguments out there.

well, let's start with the theory of universe creation. the big bang theory beat some decades ago another theory which i don't remember. But still it is not 100% sure.

Ghost, spirits experiences close to the death and much more paranormal things are not explained.

UFO and aliens.

Unknown things about some things, example: Experiment of Florida. EDIT: @v i am talking for all of them.

The origin of all creatures in earth. Darvin theory don't have proofs.

A lot of disappeared civilizations.

After death.

How huge is the space?
