so i finally decided what im gonna do for the school project
i wont push myself too far with it cause i dont wanna got depressed after the first painting

decided on doing facial expressions- the only thing im 'good' at >.<

so i just sketched the calm one:



now, i want to know how u think i should work on it.
i thought on giving it a really bright desaturated shading for the skin and a highly saturated color for the eyebrows, lips and pupils.

what do u think?
if u have any other idea on the way i should color/shade them ill be more than glad to hear.

ill try to eork on the chest more than, and i should probably say about the fingers, i painted over a pictrues of hands so it looks relistic cuz of that >.<
i just worked on this for like 5-6 hours today and i go so tierd so just placed a photo on the hands areas and painted over >.<
i still need to work on the legs area though and the hair wont stay 1 shade  ^_^
than i hope to color it also

I really really like the shading on her. However... the anatomy on her upper body looks a bit off. Especially the Shoulders and chest region. And on second glance HOLY COW those fingers are hella realistic. Again good job on the shading and her facial features as well! Hey, i don't even mind if her hair is simply one shade of white.

edit) I can't say for sure how to fix the chest region... just looks a bit weird to me.
But it could be the fact that her boobies are squished too closely with that kind of relax pose?
It could be the placement of her boobs or the shoulder plates itself.
Or maybe her scarf is making it seem as if one boob is bigger than the other? idk.
I wouldn't really know how to deal with the awkward issue. But overall its still appealing!

The "problem" with her chest could be that it is pretty small compared to her hips.
The shoulder plates and the angle of her arms and the squished boobs make her upper body seem unnaturally small.
However you could argue tha this is a feature of that kind of elf (?) race or something.

The shading is really good though! Especially her stomach area.

Ariel I'd like to see you post a finished piece for a change :P

Don't you think you're overdoing it a little with all the chromatic aberrations?
Also why the weird blue tint in the last picture? Seemed better before.

I played around quickly, here's how I'd fix the proportions. Maybe I went a little too far, but you get the idea.

i do agree with you about the colors
i didnt really get what you mean by "chromatic aberrations"
and about the proportions i do agree with the boobs thingy luti and u said before but for anything else that u changed there i think ur quit wrong
she seems totally out of proportions and skinny that way
