HouseMate's Art

Correct! Exactly as mono pointed. I knew somebody might be nibbling for that. The color of the sky rather shows it is a full daytime shine. Even if not, the shading lacks the depth here. I would rather recommend to base over 3d shaded human models or reallife pictures so you could learn how to play with light and shading. Anime/manga is good for starting, but as you would like to go with more advanced improvement, you could use existing nature sources

All your characters have nice face in general. The only problem comes with joints and muscles and proportions. Practice on those areas, you'll develop rapidly :)

Just use the shading here as reference.

The lighting is from right hand side. This should give you some ideas.

Great shading mate! I really like what you did with the shading there. The face is badass. This is really nice stuff. Keep doing drawings like this. But keep in mind few points

These are the areas you can probably work upon.
Yellow- Proportion. Aprroximately your character (Bardock? or goku alike) is 7.5 heads tall. I'm not sure though.
Green- Shapes could be worked on esp. the hips. The arms are like that for the DBZ chars so you can leave it as it is.

Keep up the good work :)

Oh, interesting. How many heads do a human adult usually measure?

I liked the drawing personally. Hips could be buffed up a bit as noted by MeNMine.

It depends on the race.

Since Bardock is a space warrior, I say it does not matter how tall he is.

well, you are right about different head heights but the proportion in general is helpful. So I drew the same split-up in this image here:

DBZ characters' proportions are not exact to humans. Since they have beefed up muscles it's hard for me to determine the exact ration(do they have one?).Piccolo has a different ratio, while goku has a different ratio and vegeta has bigger head.

Thanks to pf for these images

So in general it's good to study the specific character's proportion while drawing.

just sprung into my eyes :p

to contribute something: i don't really see his knees. i know it's supposed to be muscular, but even then you should be able to make it out more clear, no?
