Alectric's later sprites
#61
Wow, I remember some of the really old sprites :D
Honestly, you've come a long way since then. Compare your 2005ers to what you're capable of nowadays. A really great improvement! I wonder where this will go the next 5 years :P

Also, gratz on your 1k!

Really amazing history of spriting you got that.
You started like most noobs did, by c&p.
Later you made your own sprites which are just awesome.
You look weird in the drawing but still an awesome job.
I am back, not really.

^ newb not noob... newb stands for newbie = someone who is new to something
noob stands for noob (thaha) = someone who isn't new to something but still sucks.
hope all of you finally got that.

But the technical stuff is pretty nice, I like it.

What? i traced a photo of myself :p are you saying im badly proportioned in real life?

i do have a big mouth, and nose. you may think it looks weird, but i copied the outline off a photo exactly to the pixels. (i feel a little insulted, but pain has already gone away)
with the hair, well, you will surprised to know it actually looks like that:P

@everyone else, thanks for the comments guys, i have come a long way :D

no
noob/n00b is the same word as newb/newbie, just different spelled =someone who is new to something (and sucks)
but often newbie is a nicer word

sry for going offtopic and btw great sprites (some of the old ones sucked though)

I'm really sorry if I insulted you, it wasn't meant like that. It might just be the perspective, because your camera is below your head, so the nose and the distance between chin and móuth appear bigger than they are. Or maybe just don't listen to me when I'm talking about proportions, I'll probably be wrong :D
@discussion about newbie/noob: Noob was meant to be another word for newbie, but the meaning of a word is mainly defined by the way its used and well, its normally used for people who suck in something...

When will your duck character be released by the way? Post 1111?

^when i decide to finish it -_-

here is something to entertain you for a short amount of time (like 30 seconds!)
i am at the moment trying to practice digital painting techniques and methods and things. Ths drawing isnt exactly finished, still need to make the shading smoother. ( i WILL make it smoother, so please dont comment on shading)
Im extremely happy with the drawing because i usually use a reference guide or base to draw stuff like this on, and i didnt use any! (except for the gun, but thats coz i have never drawn a proper gun before)

-
but i decided to make a sprite out of him for fun. not too happy with it though :P

Wow the gun just looks so real that's all I've bout the gun. And it's awesome btw.
The only bad things:
-Colour of skin in sprite doesn't seem to match in the drawing.
-The shoes aren't similar too.
But it's still AWESOME! Nothing else to complain about.

Man really nice for the big drawin' ;)
but in-comparison to the sprite the face's cheeks are too wide making the left side of the hair a bit odd....i love the kind of style for the drawing though...
try and add more hair to hide the fat cheek....and ur good :)

Man, dude how do you sprite like that its really good, but not as good as Apoc but still its really great.
And yeah you should make the cheeks smaller on the sprite but its still awesome.
I am back, not really.
