With your injured frames, they did look a little bit stiff to me. He looks a little solid when he's flying through the air, I can't really point out why, I think it's the arms that made it look a bit too solid in my opinion.

how the hell is he gonna use the shark? riding it? (would look awesome lol)
if you really are gonna keep the shark, i suggest detailing the sprites more. atm it could just be any kind of fish.

that shark looks really good and the animation also looks pretty smooth...when he is able to summon up such a shark will he be able to do other water moves as well additional to his melee moves?

progress looks very good man. and the shark looks awesome. only one thing... there are some white pixels that appear on the shark i hope they wont be there in game.
