No,I'm not saying it is lengthy,I'm simply saying that it has a weird shape.

The pose seems fine to me, only the shoulder shouldn't go exactly horizontal.
Have you tried giving him single fingers? I wouldn't bother, it doesn't befit LF2-characters too good, at least in my opinion.
As chase already said, the hair needs some work. The streaks for the front part are just too long. Long hair is fine, but right now it feels like the streaks don't consist of several single hairs. They are like just one thing, I hope you get what I mean. If not, tell me.
And you should at least indicate that he has eyes.

There might be. How I made my template sprites with my photo program is that I made the edges monochromatic, so I can easily erase the inside. But that way is easier, I guess.

Btw it is woody

look man i can clearly see that you are practicing and practicing... which is a good thing, but if you really wanna improve you gotta try making your own base from scratch!
i mean make a new layer over woody's throw frame and outline his base isn't hard at all and you cant say i made a new base.

dont get me wrong or anything... i am just trying to encourage you to improve and be a better spriter ;)

i didnt mean that, what i meant is that since you are practicing so hard, why not try to develop you base making technique? or even invent a new one? and not just drawing over existing ones...

Aha!. Thats my thing. u know when i draw my own shape, i find it difficult for proportions. So i practice over existing one and develop skill . Is that bad? And i can't even find good clothing techniques , foldings etcetera.

For clothing folds, i found these tutorials useful:
http://darlingmionette.deviantart.com/ar...folds&qo=0 PART 1
http://darlingmionette.deviantart.com/ar...folds&qo=1 PART 2
(warning, partial nudity)

Even though those are for larger drawings, just make them really small :P

Also, a good way is to also try mimic some of the clothing folds you see in real life, and on other peoples sprites.
