Can anyone teach me how to make sprites? I use normal paint to only modify some sprites of LF2. And it takes more than 4 hours.


Me and my big brother really don't know which program you use to make sprites. Someone said that he uses an specific program and makes the sprites in less than 1 hour! I also want to create sprites from Dragon Ball Z specially of my favorite characters Bojack and Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan!! And also from many anime.
I guess you create the sprites on a specific program which I don't know. I don't think you uses normal paint from your computer to create these awesome sprites I had never seen.


Well anyway, I really liked your all sprites Davis60. I am happy with the amount of work you do to create sprites.

If there is any tutorial of the basics of sprites then please give me the location(link) of it.

I use Gimp for spriting!
I recommend JustMe's sprite tutorial for shading http://www.lf-empire.de/forum/showthread.php?tid=8004
As for the hair, I may create a tutorial when I am not so lazy ( I sprite hair in my own style )

Okay. You choosed bad place for post this.. "Davis sprite thread" isnt here for this reason.. at least you could post this in your "Sprite thread".(thisthisthis )

Less then one hour??.. well, i have to disappoint you because they have tablet(wacom or whatever) and lots of skills.. I need 1.5 hour for drawing whole sprite, and i use from hardware only mouse and 1 year experience..spriting is hard job at begining, you must have big dose of will and strenght for it.

Yeah, there is lot of programs able for drawing.. one of them are photoshop and gimp..paint.NET.... Explore little bit and experiment.


Also explore for some tuts.. its really easy.. BP and MH-Razen made very clearly forum!

@davis, more contrast(talking about skin)... compare it with Original LF2 sprite.. or just choose there colors with "i".

Uff good job there. Sprite looks little bit too tinny, mean non lf2 proportion. Legs are somehow look weirdo idk :P
Also add darker color in neck part to seperate head from it.

but still I like that sprite, better use something like brush.
