^I guess he's talking about one of the theories that are mentioned here:

Cyclic theories ('Big Bounce', I think it was mentioned already) and MWI appear to be the most popular ones nowadays, at least that's my impression. Which doesn't say anything about the strength of their scientific fundations, though.
