I am also a newbie at spriting but there are a few things that I would like to mention:
1. You should atleast try some shading and texturing over the sprite. Simply filling Red colour over the Template sprite will not make it look good.
2. The shape of your wings is also not uniform over all the sprites, And
3. You should really try to remove those white boundaries in between the red colour.

I have been learning spriting since the past few days and one thing I have learned is that a patient approach is all there is to nice spriting. Good Luck!

If you want to make it fly you have to have a DC'er then go to the jump frames and add to the hit_j: at all the jumping frames 210 so now it should go back to the first frame when you press jump in the air so now you can jump out of the jump you can fly!

ok but how can i make it flying in standing frames?

Just change the sprites of the standing frames like he is flying and increase the centery of all frames by... 50-100
Then he will hover above ground.

Depends on what kind of flying you prefer. Alblaka's is probably the easiest method, a little harder would be the >Horizontal Fly< and another level higher would be flying in >Windmill-style<
