Awesome, really. Good colours, nice proportions and all. Wait, isn't that chalk on a blackboard? Makes even more incredible. Really, northing to complain about. Or, maybe the branch. But that was hardly the focus of the picture. But whatever. Awesome. I should learn to stop ranting all the time...

im surprised @ the sudden transition by this! Are u learning how to use charcoal or oil pastels?

Excellent shading as always, but you need to work more on the thumb. It's way too small and too long compare to other fingers. You should also add some wrinkle at the wrist and some slight hint of the bone that would normally rise in that area (dunno what it's called).
