about maveric, the character by yin yin
#1
i think everybody here knows this character

ive been hoping to use this char since ive seen it,
cus it is the most lf2ized char ive seen in this site.

it is an exe file that u have to use it to put it into the game
however, it just doesnt work with my computer,
everytime i download it it turns out to be an error.

so if anyone can get the data and the sprites out of that exe file that i can play with it by simply adding in the basic files, i'll be very grateful.

thankyou

Have some fun.
Do NOT copy the data\data.txt.
Open it and copy out the Maveric lines and insert them into your own data.txt

Next time, please post your question in the appropriate section. The Projects-section is only for those things that you do yourself. The "LF2 Modifications / Other Versions" is the forum that is to your interest in this matter; it is to cover any questions regarding things released by others.

Try to use this file instead:

Just replace it with the original "maveric.dat" file.
Age ratings for movies and games (and similar) have never been a good idea.
One can learn a lot from reinventing wheels.
An unsound argument is not the same as an invalid one.
volatile in C++ does not mean thread-safe.
Do not make APIs unnecessarily asynchronous.
Make C++ operator > again

YinYin said somewhere, i think, that it was best to place Maveric in a fully unedited exe, with no other custom characters in the data.txt file.

So perhaps you should remove all the other custom chars in your data.txt and see if that works.

Before I quit playing LF2, I had a bunch of custom chars downloaded in it before I got my hands on Maveric. When I put him in, he worked fine. Tell me how this is possible?

It was a recommendation, not an essential thing.
