#1
Is Little Fighter only available for Windows??

I was thinking that is there any LF2 MOD that works in Linux or Mac also?

Is there a Mod like it, or someone maybe is making it or is it impossible?

well i'm making hq linux compatible (half because it's faster to develop in linux (the ide is better in linux, has a nicer debugger and all)). but lf2 lf2 isn't linux compatible. maybe you can emulate it with Wine, haven't tried. but ya, sun/oracle virtualbox should be able to run a virtual windows OS and u should be able to run lf2 in that.

These sentences are so stupid that I don't even know how to begin explaining it... Mad

If you haven't noticed, more and more people (including myself) are switching to other operating systems because Windows has become too expensive over the last few years. Add that and the growing list of crashes, viruses and malicious software, and the fact that you have to reinstall every 2 years or so, it becomes pretty clear that the main reason many people still use Windows is because the gaming industry and some other companies won't provide support for other OS. Taking all that into account, why shouldn't we be able to enjoy LF2 on Unix based operating systems? Especially since it's already free to play free-of-charge. -_-

It would be cool if someone was to remake LittleFighter to be able to run on Linux, maybe more-so place it into the next Ubuntu distributions central. Though unfortunately, for now I'm doubtful anybody will take that job; reverse engineering is a real pain. We can always keep our hopes up, though. :S

Other then that, yeah: using VirtualBox is valid for running LF2, and Wine still has some bugs to fix (but it's getting there).

One, most people using computers have Windows as its OS, so it would be a waste of time to rewrite the game in a linux-compatible format. Two, rewriting LF2 itself would be harder than ever, since the format .exe have to be changed (mac and linux can't run .exe files)

one, (correct me if i'm wrong) 100% of all people who has switched from windows to mac are happy with it

two, if you get the development code (?) from marty it wouldn't be that hard have i heard.

one of the reasons i dual booted windows 7 on my mac was lf2...

Is it even possible to get that code? Didn't he sell the copyrights or something...? :S
If not, how would we go about getting it anyway?

True, but it would be infinitely hard to get the source code, simply because Marty said he wouldn't give it to anyone. Apart from that, you also have the sold copyright to consider.
Hiding users' signatures and avatars was the best decision ever.

@Alex: Don't worry, it's fine, I'm just wrong ^^; Yes I typed the previous post without thinking
Marti sold the copyrights to the company who made LFO.

Everything ease does but LF2 Doesn't Emulate with Wine, and it has no reason found till now. Does Sun Virtual Box work in Linux(Ubuntu)???

That's True. I was also Fed-up of Windows, and Linux is much faster and nice that Windows. I would prefer Linux and Mac for sure, instead of Windows and I recommend others also to try them.
