Maybe the days used to be longer but now they are shorter so the average posts / day is lower????

To summarise:

1. LFE has had better days (ie more active people, more posts, [size-xx-small]higher quality posts[/size]). (From a personal point of view.)
   
2. Popularity of LF2 is going down.
   
3. A forum's average posts per day can be pretty high. Perhaps go look at some other popular forum. 1000 posts per day is plausible on some.
   

(And from a mathematical point of view, an average of X posts per day means there must've been at least one day with >= X posts.)

Also, I fail to understand how a simple socio-mathematical problem can stir up that much controversy. It just contradicts with everything that my mind would expect. Hence, to save humanity's sanity (if still existent, that is) the close-hammer will now strike this thread! *hammered*
