IndustrialCraft is a Minecraft Mod.
And it's made by noone other thaaaaaan ... Alblakaaa.

It has a huge Fan base and brings like 5000 additions to the Game.
So now everybody clap for Alb and check out his mod if you haven't yet.

Either way, yeah, as far as I can tell it's pretty awesome. The only thing is that I never play Single Payer, and has thus rarely ever felt the need for any mods that ain't compatible with the server. Sooo... never played it.
Although I was a bit surprised when I ran into Alblaka on the Minecraft Forum. And then suddently: Ascor.

I demand Ascor creating a thread about my awesome game aswell! It's more popular than this IndustrialCraft thing.... still awesome work Alb!

I actually wonder why Alblaka would keep it hidden, if it is that great, I'd have loved to have seen the boastage by the man who I've never really seen boast.

As for TheNave - hours of endless fun, HOORAH! And a thank you, for bringing up the game and a tidy point. Now must see this Alblaka mod...

i must say this mod rulz, with all that additional stuff it takes minecraft to a whole new dimension.

though i must admit that im jealous of him getting so many donations for it :P

Knew about this one.

I'm probably the only one here who isn't such a big fan of the mod.
It simply adds too much, and tries to be excessively advanced.
Sure it's good and fun, but it doesn't really integrate into Minecraft extremely well.
If you want an example of a mod that does, then check out the Pistons Mod, which adds one new block (a piston) which integrates perfectly into Minecraft, and adds a lot of new features using the new block.
I'm probably also the only one here who haven't tried it, so I guess I don't have a whole lot to say after all.
Maybe I should try it when I get home.

Anyway, even I must say that Alblaka did put quite a lot of effort into this, and that he did create something rather nice.
But I would rather like to see this in another game than Minecraft.
Just my honest opinion.

Uhm, it's SMP compatible as well.
Not the 1.5_01 version, but the 1.4_01 ran nearly flawless on SMP. ^^
If you're interested i could get you a pass for joining IndustrialRage, it's a whitelisted (usually) p2p IC server. Quite no lag and some neat industrial citys.
