So which means rep are endless.
O.o I didn't know that admins can rate that much.
This place motivates me to become an artist, this place motivates me to learn coding, this place made me grow up, showed me the ways to interact with people. Unlike the old childish of me myself, I've learned a lot and gotten some experiences. For me, it's not just a fan forum, it's a helpful community. From a noob to someone who would think before he speaks, looking back at my old post made me laugh hard, I'm grateful of the differences between these 2 years.

Rep-system is for loosers. Remove it, seriously now. This rep discussion is so utterly useless, I can't even describe the stupidness. The only reason why I'm acting so childish with my reps is because of everything stated above.

Make a poll or something. This must end.

(also I kind of liked when BP gave me -20, I lol'd so hard :D)

But I thought only admins or moderator can close thread.
Thanks, Alectric.:D(sorry but I can't thank my own post)

That is correct. But if you press 'solve' i think it prevents members from posting in the thread. (Feel free to correct me though)

It was more because I was getting annoyed by this "OMG GIEV POINTS"-crap. It's leading to strikingly useless rep-comments etc. Also, I deleted that rep a couple hours later, so bla.

Some forums have enabled a rep per post system. I guess, if I enabled that, anarchy would break loose altogether. And with that, I mean more anarchy than there is in terms of reputation already.

By default, it's 3, but I tend to stick to single points except for those that deserve it.

I really do not wish to moderate rep-ratings -- that would be a waste of time and I have expected that much maturity of members. In fact, except for a hand full, the majority has been around when the rep-system got disabled.
The ones that abuse this know who they are. And I strongly recommend those to reduce their habits and/or replace their rather useless reputation-posts with proper versions. Most of you are closer to 20 than 10, so please behave that way. Acting childish from time to time is okay, but constantly acting retarded is a different story.

I will wait with how things will go in the next couple days/weeks. When nothing changes to the present state, you can say bye to the reputations.

Thanks BP.

Sorry for those who think it is a very important 'feature' on the forums. If you claim so, please go ahead and tell your arguments as to why it is good and shouldn't be removed. I, personally, am against keeping it, so I will continue acting childish, and achieve 69 (sorry BP...)! And maybe then, hopefully, it will be removed :)

I'm sincerely sorry for making you annoyed, I thought you got the joke, but apparently you misunderstood my (good) intentions. :) Feel free to slap or kick me in the jeans, though.

@BP
Is it possible to change the basics of the rep system, something like YinYin mentioned in another thread (the thumbs up system)?
That would reduce the overall abuse, if it can be done of course.

If it can't be changed, then I won't object to removing it aswell.

Sure that YinYin's idea: thumbs up/down is the best, but if it would not be released,I am thinking another way:

If somebody write a stupid comment,he will receive a warning. Also there need to be some rules/guidelines which teach members how they should rate.

If you think it would be hard for moderators to view a lot of profiles all the time,I can to do this and report stupid comments them.

Too minor thing to moderate IMO. If it comes to the point of needing rules, it's not worth keeping.
(my opinion? I care not)
