As I said, special moves are based on the right punch. ========:MOVELIST:======= (I will modify it with your ideas and tips) D>A: Super ranged right jab (like Bat) DVA+AA...: Random strong right punches (like Deep's DVA) D^A: Super (dragon's) right uppercut DVJ: Pressure gloves (like Henry's palm, Matt claps his gloves together and produces a short-ranged pressure wave surrounding him: Useful when you want enemies go backward) D>J: Bulldozer jabs (running forward throwing punches: left, right, left, right, left ...) DJA: Matt EX mode (without gloves, without helmet, without shirt: faster & stronger) D: Avoid an attack (sidestep) As you can see ... It still remains a lot of work!!!

Good morning everyone, Finally, I made him move. STANDING WALKING (like a boxer) RUNNING (like a weird one) Well ... as a boxer doesn't run, I didn't know how to do it. Plus, I didn't want him to wiggle his arms as the runners typically do. With gloves, this seems weird That's why I did it like this. I'll make the arms and shoulders move a little up and down, but right now i don't know how. Now, i'm dealing with the jump, running attack, and jump running attack. As a boxer ( noble art) doesn't run or jump ... It will be difficult to do something realistic, so i'm planning on a funny jump running attack. I really need your opinion and ideas for those moves. Second: Well you could make him boost a little as running? That would be boxer styled? But well, as long as the game is LF2, i think you should stick with the one you made. Third: He doesn't have to jump at all, it can be fixd from data, so maybe his dash (running+jump) attack could be somekinda boost + punch, but different from running attack?

The problem is dash attack is very important in LFE. With it you can hit your opponent from an upper or lower position dash attack (Click to View) And jumping is very important to escape... On the other hand.. boxing just a fighting SPORT, where people fight in a small RING. Which means that in a reallife situation, he might just as well jump or dash to escape, it is not as if boxers can't jump. Feet positions and steps are very important in boxing. So please don't leave the feet out completely. But you could make the jumps and dashes a little less effective than for the normal lf2 characters.
Boxers work with counter attacks a lot. Some ideas other than combos: - a speed dodge mode that can dodge normal punches and kicks? Set the bdy so that hits can only be landed under his belly button and make the sprites so that it looks like he's dodging all the rest. Press A to strike. Most balls and some moves will still be able to hit the lower body. - a mode that makes him about to walk while defending. Not sure how to make this though. Oh yeah, the right arm is the perfect position, while the left arm seems to be a little bit too much away from his head. Running, why aren't the arms moving, is he afraid to lose these gloves? :P

i suggest making jump a dodge move.
you know steve fox from tekken? make him dodge like that. basically means: jump=dash to the side+duck plus attack=dash back and hit the opponent instead of running he could also dash forward/backwards, though that may seem a bit unrealistic for a boxer (idk honestly) since he wouldnt really need defend then, defend could be a little "upwards look"-state where he stays in one frame for a moment + attack or other key combinations make him punch upwards etc. so this char would have pretty alternate controls (and would probably fail without hex-ai ) Thanks given by: lf2TimmE1

About the standing position: this is a type of on-guard position, the left hand away from the head, so you will punch your opponent faster and your hand is in his way to hit your head, so you can block attacsk easier. (and looks cool to me) And for the running position: I don't know ^_^ that's a kind of protection (I have to do it better that's right)... and Moving his arms like a normal runner smees weird with gloves XD I just want to say I like the current animations a lot ~ Marshall |
