well id say thats nice, one thing that bothers me is that the skin and hair lack the lighting pants have, looks plain now. dont be afraid to express the shadows ans highlights of your sprite. pick a nice healthy light color of the area you want to shade and go for it





hope you dont mind me trying to do it to explain for you a simple 1min mouse work :P please check out the hair i want you to try learn do it that way.. its just a bunch of banana shaped strokes to get the spikey hair effect.

looks nice, now try spriting a new design of ur imagination. and since ur using a base of an existing lf2 sprite try as much as you can to remove the old look from it (since the one you juts posted still resembles to bat).

Use more tones of colours while shading. Also while there was a lot of light around him, shadow in the left looks strange.
On pants: use your brush strokes more effective. Pixels are disturbing it.

For aura: U can draw it better..

By the way, it's a good thing to give bat a new hair; but it's a lot more better to work on your original sprites! Keep it this way..
