hacking into lfr files might have these positive effects too...
1. Demonstrate very hard combos, Compile a collection of combos together. Some combos are very hard to demonstrate, like 2 people combos, or even 3 people combos. Some combos no one know it exist yet. Back in the old days, in some hong kong LF2 forum, someone just post a list of moves and say he suspect it is a combo but he simply can't do it. If one can edit their lfr files, they can verify himself.
2. lfr files runs from beginning to the end, and it would suck if I just want to see the end of a VERY LONG video(LF2ghost+LF2God's survival video is like impossible to finish...). For example I waited minutes(even after using F5) before I see the end of marti's survival stage. with editing, I can remove the first few minutes and of course, change a few more settings so the game stays consistent, then enjoy how marti fight to his death.
3. Making cool movies. Usually, one copy paste each sprite and make each frame then save as gif files to create some nice looking cool movie. but if it's possible to edit the lfr files, then one can set up some 1 VS 7 battle where he can control each person's action. Which in the end can produce really epic looking battle.
I don't think there are many people who is shallow enough to create a false recording so people would say "OMG Awesome player!"
