No offense, but did you do that with paint? Try using GIMP, it's good.

Posting things that aren't his should be OK as long as he points out that it isn't his own work and gives credit. Which he clearly did.

Your representative character's sprite looks like it has very tight hips and shoulders, while the arms and legs extend outwards to a normal level. Also, the head and hands look like they are a bit big. I'd suggest you start by just trying to get the shapes of your characters right. Try drawing silhouettes, or template-like sprites, or whatever really: As long as you focus on getting the proportions and pose right.

I'd suggest, instead of sticking to one base right now, try rather designing multiple ones right now. Thus, you get a hang of LF2-proportions
