This really happened via text messages.
Friend: Hey.
Me: Yo.
Friend: Guess what?
Me: (totally disinterested) what?
Friend: I learnt a new word today!
Me: Good for you. [/sarcasm]
Friend: Wanna know what it is?
Me: No.
Friend: It's 'Deficient'.
Me: O.O
Friend: ...?
Friend: Hello?
Friend: Are you there?
Me: No, seriously?
Friend: Hey! My English is very awesome!
Me: Indeed. (Salutations to SirFrog)
Friend: Dude, you have a deficiency of lameness.
Me: O_o
Friend: Is that right?
Me: Are you saying that I am NOT lame, or, are you trying to say that I AM lame?
Friend: I'm telling you that you are lame.
Me: Have you looked that word up in a dictionary?
Friend: ....
Me: No?
Friend: No.
Me: Well....?
Friend: Shut up.
Yes, this actually happened.
