- When a grabbed guy is getting hit by more than just the guy who's grabbing him, how do you predict when he will fall? EDIT: He can take four punches from outside, except sometimes when he can only take two.
- Why does flute sometimes take a few seconds to get everyone up in the air? It happens when there are lots of guys around, and because of Murphy's law, it's usually the Marks that take extra long to be affected ._.
- Do heavy weapons switch teams when they get hit by an enemy's attack? Sometimes it seems like they do, sometimes not.
- And an open-ended question: good, practical team combos?

Can't answer any except no.4 xD .
Eventually, I remember how many times an attack will cause a grabbed guy fall for each type of attack. I believe there's something to do with the 'falling' property, but then I become unsure because arrow and Dennis' run attack have 'falling: 60', but Dennis' run attack never cause the guy the fall immediately while arrows can. Flute; don't know at all xD . Heavy weapons: don't know exactly, just remember that davis' ball doesn't cause it to switch team xD . Practical team combos --> should ask Zelphir/Dr.Death xD Combos that I often see from them are when using Deep/Woody, using Strike or flip kick, followed by an ally doing jump attack, allowing another Strike/flip kick and repeats. Dash attacks are very common, like doing dash attack at the same time to deal double the damage before the opponent falls. I also saw Zelphir timing his jump and then the jump attacks with Dennis in such a way that he can hit the opponent twice in a row. This can still be continued if there's a team mate because hitting twice makes the opponent falls even slower. Of course, favorite combo for Freeze is throwing ice sword, especially to bosses who are falling to the ground xD . When an ally is grabbing an opponent, it is okay for FIren to shoot fireballs to further continue the combo, as the ally will still be able to defend to not get burnt. Dennis can do strafe kick in certain position that the last hit misses, this doesn't cause the victim to fall, same as Davis's strafe punch or Louis' thunder kick. When Deep is grabbing an ally, do a dash attack, then Deep should follow quickly with DvA (probably needs to change facing direction first). Certain characters can continue the team combo very well :P .

1. i think the delay is unaffected (just thinking of 2p online games where me and someone else do a grab attack combo, whoever grabs still can do at most 5 punches / 4 punch + throw)
2. haven't tried 3. they switch if the character is hit by another character (the attacker) and not a weapon held by the attacker 4. when u're in sync with the other person, they just happen naturally. always always involves not knocking the attacked char down, and usually ends with 1~2 dash attacks (open ended answer) edit: @v for #1, i know Azriel~ (04-12-2012, 08:03 AM)Azriel Wrote: 1. i think the delay is unaffected (just thinking of 2p online games where me and someone else do a grab attack combo, whoever grabs still can do at most 5 punches / 4 punch + throw) For #1, he's talking about someone else hitting the grabbed guy, not the one who's grabbing him. And you may already know but still wna mention that LouisEX and Firzen can do 7 punches or 6 punch with throw :P . For #2, If you use weak projectiles you will still get hit because the weapon doesn't switch team. If you use punch, the weapon switches team but doesn't get deflected.

It is not coded to use DJA while grabbing. The AI is programmed to only use A while grabbing. Maybe Marti and Starsky forgot about it or because it was too a hard task or just because they didn't want to do it.

I can now mostly answer the first question, and I've written my full answer here. To summarize, the grabbed guy can take any number of punches from the person doing the grabbing, but can only take four punches from other people (which is the same as the number of punches he could take if he were standing up, only here he doesn't go into DoP first), except sometimes when he can only take two punches.
