If U really want to do that then there is an alternative way.
steps:
1. copy the EXE of your game (the game u wanted to unmolebox) into the original LF2 folder.
2. copy the text lines -from your game's data text to the original LF2 data text- that belongs to the characters U wanted to add.
3.run the EXE you copied.
and btw, u can add characters to the unmoleboxed game.

But the thing is that I dont want all of the characters, or the exe [Norton deletes it -.-] I jsut want the data files and sprites for the characters that I wanted, so then I could just add them without problems.

EDIT: The bx-lf2 exe is the one that norton deletes, not any other one, but still, Id rather have it unmoleboxed.

Since nobody's going to do it for your without the original author's permission (and even with, I doubt anybody would do it for you just like that), I suggest that you either:

a) learn to unmolebox it yourself

or

b) ask the original author if he can provide you with those chars (which is probably unlikely)

or

c) forget about those chars and move on

Because I don't think this discussion is about to go anywhere constructive...

In that case we can't really help you.

Except for b, if he doesn't speak English, try it with the Google Translator. It may not translate it perfectly, but he should at least understand what you're trying to say.

Buxie does speak English (even though fractured, but still understandable). You can try to get in contact with him via PM and ask him for what you need.

However, please be aware that people that take an effort in locking their creations have their reasons for it. Another prominent example for a (data-)lock would be CE LF2. Rammichael did some magic to the files so you can't open them with the DCer. The reason? The creators neither want others to simply copypaste moves used throughout the game nor do they want to reveal how exactly they have implemented this-and-that.

This is a question about ethics. I am pretty sure there are some around that could do it but to the maybe-perhaps-maybe-something-bad-will-happen-law predicts that the worst case could happen. Even though you might not release anything, what if the person that unmoleboxed it thinks "hey, it took way too much work to make it available for one single person only. Let's spread it!". Either way, we cannot prevent that to not happen.

Sorry, but for anybody that has at least a tiny bit of morale left, they will probably have to decline. It's best to get in touch directly with the authors as it's ultimately their decision in terms of creative copyrights, etc.

Easy! you don't want Norton deleting it, Just give me the version number of the Norton Symantec Antivirus you use. I will help you make sure it never gets deleted.
