I have just been into Singapore ;D . It's Awesome!!!
#1
The past two days!! Went to Singapore to see the universities that I may study at.

On Monday, I woke up at 3:20 AM (the earliest flight costs the least), take a shower, eat a little and went to the airport with my dad. We arrived at Singapore at 7:40 AM (the time there is 1 hours ahead D: ). First I saw the Changi Airport and it was really cool XD . All rooms have carpet floor. The airport was really huge, with so many shopping places (but we didn't get time that day). We drove a sky train to an MRT (mass rapid transport) station. Sky train is cool :D . Fast and convenient. It also has air conditioners. I guess all vehicles in Singapore have AC. Wo!

When we arrived at the MRT station, we see a map with MRT stations in it. We figured out we have to go to a station named 'Tiong Bahru'. Then at the entrance we see people must tap a card before entering the MRT station. We go to the ticket office and bought two 'ez-link' cards for 12 SGD each. We automatically received a 7 SGD allowance, and it was more than enough to go to Tiong Bahru, so we tapped the card and went in. The signs are very convenient :D . We understand everything that we must do, unlike in Jakarta where you have to get confused and then ask people if you are new. When I get into the MRT, it was also cool XD . Everything has an automated narration. For example 'doors are closing'. 'Next station: Tiong Bahru'. XD . Awesome. All the vehicles are also in an excellent shape. Clean and all. To think the buses in Indonesia were buses in Japan.. that were considered too old and had to be replaced, and they are used for tens of years here xD .

Anyway, it took about 40 minutes to reach Tiong Bahru, where we got to see PSB, a university. We went to the admission office and were greeted kindly. I just told the person there that we came to observe the university, and then he called another officer who then took us to look the whole university and explained much about everything that we saw. That's great! I visited some famous universities in Indonesia and when I said the same thing, they only said 'This is the brochure. You can go inside if you want.' It's like.... they're lazy to even talk to us just for another bit. Being allowed to go inside was actually quite okay though, because sometimes they won't let us. That day, I went to another university named MDIS, and is welcomed very well too.

Since my sister studies in NUS (it's the best univ. in Singapore and I was rejected there ;\ . My sis is great..), and luckily it was a holiday, many rooms in NUS are empty (yeah.. cool, NUS has its own hostel), and we could stay there, for a price. We stayed one night only because the living costs in Singapore is multiple times higher than in Indonesia. Gotta save money xD . Oh, I also met my sister's boyfriend ;D . And we played tennis table at NUS that day too. He's good, too good lol, but he said he's not very good at it. Well, there should be many players better than him, I believe.

The next day, we with my sister went to see SUTD, another university. And it was really really cool XD . I still prefer studying in Germany, but if I'm not accepted there, SUTD is the second that I like the most. The building design is really awesome. And it's also a very good university in Singapore. Of course I know it'd be hard to be accepted there ;D , and I have to wait for 10 months for the earliest intake possible for me. But that's nothing compared to the awesomeness I saw there XD .

Then we got to accompany my sister to the dentist. She had to extract all her four wisdom teeth. Aw. Err, but it's unfair. She said it didn't hurt too much? I remembered how it hurts when a doctor in Jakarta injected the anesthetic before extracting my teeth. But yeah, after that, no pain, just scary because the dentist struggles to take out the teeth xD . Coz the drug has worked, we don't feel anything there.

Anyway, after that, my dad wanted to go to a bookstore browsing Singapore's books... we got like only 3 hours before the boarding time. My bag became really heavy because I had to bring some KUMON worksheets for my mom (I'm not sure what it's for until now, but I don't care lol). We walked a lot, I felt pain on my feet's palms, but seeing the awesome technology of Singapore overwhelms it ;D . But when we finally arrived, the bookstore was closed. D-----------: everything there closes at 7 pm!? Damn... what, we thought it's like in Jakarta where everything closes like 10 pm ;p . Well, we got to eat 'Young Tou Fu' there. We could take everything that we want and then the price depends on what we took. Problem is, the food is really hot. XD . Hard to eat. And we got little time left. 35 minutes was as fast as I could eat (my dad is great at eating/drinking very hot food/drink :O ).

So then, we got only 1 hour left to check in for our flight. OMG, what would happen if we're late and unable to go home? lolll ... And we still had to learn the map first. We decided to go to the nearest MRT station. I tried to run the whole time but my bag is heavy.. so we walked a lot anyway lol. I'm not like my dad who completed Marathon XD , 42.195 km in 5 hours. Then at the MRT station I tapped my card to get in, but it says 'Card Failed'. OMG, what happens!? Luckily a nice guy beside me told me it must be the card's value isn't enough. I went to the ticket office again and asked to refill the card. I gave 2 dollars but he said '10 minimum'. Omg, 10 is a lot xD in SGD, like you can buy a Nokia mobile phone in Jakarta. But I keep the ez-link card until now so it can still be used later anyway. Then after riding the MRT we still got to ride the Sky Train again. Funnily, I felt happy even though I was also worried if we couldn't make it on time, lol. Anyway we still got like 15 minutes when we check in and then a safe trip to Jakarta and we arrived at Jakarta at 11.30 pm (now, in the night, the latest flight costs the least ;D ). Really tired, so I go to bed once I arrived at home (it was past midnight, didn't know the time). Today I overslept ;D until 9 am lol. Usually even though I don't have school anymore like now, I wake up early yea.. not 9 am lol

Other amazing things for me
. The cleanliness of no matter where I was in Singapore XD . In every road in Jakarta, you will find garbages, even near trash cans. But I didn't see any in Singapore.
. The traffic! Traffic! Every day is traffic jam in my city Jakarta!! Even in midnight if you take the wrong way you will get stuck for hours!
Zebra crosses are totally ignored here, but in Singapore, I felt like a king when I crossed them and the vehicles stopped even they actually arrived a bit sooner ;D .
Pedestrian - clear of anything :D . Very convenient for walking. In Jakarta, motorbikes go to pedestrian due to traffic jams. People often use it to sell things as well
Very convenient for walkers!!! Love it XD . In Jakarta, you can't really walk conveniently. There can be many puddles of water if it has been raining up to 12 hours or so ago, many pedestrian is used up for stands selling things, that you can't walk on it at all. If you don't have a vehicle, you have to take a very unpleasant mass transports.... and very unsafe. If you're not careful, losing your pocket or mobile often happens ;) . So many people just either like or need to take chances like that..

Overall... technology. Skytrain?? Never seen one in Jakarta. Subway, MRT, free shuttle bus XD . The ez-link card... just need to tap when we get in and out and the machine automatically deduct the card's value! Here we must queue to pay for the ticket, then queue to get into the bus. There may be 5-8 buses before we finally finish the queue. And buses sometimes also get stuck in daily traffic jams, in case people don't care and take the lanes. And also, even traffic light for people crossing the road does not exist in Jakarta, we just have to be patient, careful and quick when the chance comes. So many very tall buildings (we have some here, but not nearly as many).

I haven't seen much of Singapore, since I only had 2 days and I focused on seeing the universities that I may study at, but Singapore is already REALLY AWESOME. It's like I have just gone into the future world XD . I have never imagined something like that already existed in the world today!!! Damn.. Let's go there! Wait. Wait. There's also a chance that I may go to Germany. People have always say Germany = #1 in technology. Is it even cooler?? LOL Is this a dream!?

Cool, sounds fun. But why do you post this? :S
This place motivates me to become an artist, this place motivates me to learn coding, this place made me grow up, showed me the ways to interact with people. Unlike the old childish of me myself, I've learned a lot and gotten some experiences. For me, it's not just a fan forum, it's a helpful community. From a noob to someone who would think before he speaks, looking back at my old post made me laugh hard, I'm grateful of the differences between these 2 years.

I've been to china, but I don't like cities. I like countryside better, so I can have fun there and relax like a lazy dog. :D

Stockholm is still nicer, because you can see many blondes there (from which, snorsorbet is the sexiest).
Nice write-up though!

I will get to see everything in Singapore if I'm accepted there ;D . It's like moving to another world XD . Suddenly my view to this world changed. I didn't know developed countries are really developed this much! Maybe the most interesting fact is that everything is well-organized.

Maybe my country would be able to afford good facilities too if the corruption in the governments can be stopped. Many people here are extremely hard workers.. but many of them are poor. Maybe we need that death-penalty for corruptors, like there is in China. Fact is, many people are already suffering and dying to poorness, and the corruptions are one major cause of it. My country has actually a great potential, very rich in natural resources, in the lands and the seas, so it's a big paradox compared to Singapore xD

Hm, my dad said that if I'm going to Germany, the place will not be as great as Singapore, but he believes I can get better education there. (plus, I'll be able to meet some great Cultris II and LF2 players xD ).

What courses are you going to take for your college?

P.S.-Dont insult Indonesia though, I know Singapore may be better, but Bintan Island of Indonesia is one of the most beautiful places ive visited with the scenic landscape, motorboat ride from the mainland and the free roaming cassowaries.
