Internet children "generate"

Some days ago we had a discussion in class about this topic. Classmates talked about their experiences with their little sisters/brothers who are growing with internet since they are little kids. They said that kids are "missing" childhood and they are becoming more grower since in a early age, because they talk and have a behavior like a more grower up.

What is the your opinion about that?

Nope, it's much more the opposite. They grow up with a feeling of fake anonymity (anonymisity? Whatever) and then get suprised if they hit something with their face whilst trying to troll in RealLife. Always amusing if a random kid thinks he can bully people twice his size around. And no, he wasn't kidding.

The only thing the internet is good for is learning English and paranoia :3

I hate when some kids which is 6 years old, already having facebook accounts and other social networks accounts.
About childhood.
In my village, kids are acting like adult: actions, how they chatting, its realy sad.
I think parents should be serious about leting little kids using internet.
Some 10 years old kids already watching porn, thats cruel.

Eh, it's not only "the internet". I am always amazed by kids that are clearly below 10, yet play with their iPhone 4S. If my parents didn't buy me a new phone back in 2007 (got the first when I was 15, broke after 2 years), I'd still run around with a Nokia 6210 (aka. >this guy here<).

And yeah, same with computers, really. One can say that they spent their childhood without a computer, but then again, it's a definition of how long one's childhood can be defined
One thing for sure, your parents' generation did certainly not have a personal computer standing in their living room being online 24/7. Well, maybe first, but definitely not latter.

Even though I'm only 14. D:

Most of the games that kids play these games are shooters, fighting games etc etc. Also TV shows and music. That just makes them very violent and gives them the goal of "becoming cool". Like back in the day we used to be afraid of older kids. Nowadays a 7 year old kid, will tell you to "f*** off" and threaten to beat you up. I used to play with Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Beyblades and pogs. Now I barely see kids even playing they just walk around in groups while talking, and their sentences - like every 3 words are they're swearing.

Don't get me wrong the internet is great place even for children. If not for it I could probably never speak english.

Yes, in a kind of way yes. But I started to use internet in my teenage and I think most of guys here has been doing so.

Yes, why not. I grabbed internet as the most powerful aspect.



In my opinion internet can be used wisely and everyone can take many benefits from it like learning English and different curiosities. The problem stays that is hard to be used in this way. Those parents who have little kids are usually young parents who use computer by themselves and they have one in their home. In that way they can't put an limit for their kids because kids have it all day at home. While old parents don't know enough about computer.
Also some kids want good phones so they can be in facebook all the time!
Watching porn in internet had been harmful for some kids.
