It depends on their activity on the internet. One of my friends has really been into Wikipedia, he spends hours everyday there, today as a staff, reading, checking, revising etc. So now his knowledge, especially on history and car technology which he's most interested in, is unmatched among my other friends. He's even in an election to be an Admin for Wikipedia Indonesia right now. Well, I believe then growing with the internet can have positive effects.
Young children should be guided by parent(s) so they don't get into bad sites.

I would however define it as "most common thing to do", making this new kind of childhood normal (in my opinion).

. no cigaretes, no alcohol.
no dirty thoughts
Edit: when i was 11 years old, i still was playing with toys even my mom said iam big boy, bt others already had driked alcohol.
Facebook?-huh funny how its spreading.
worse fact that 7 years old kids already have it.

FB is social network which is not for kids, you can get in trouble, what if some stranger from FB will get your home adress and one day will visit your house?

Yeah... but i guess kids these days are smart :/
(in that way kids must not use LFE too as some stranger may get his home adress through PMs)
