[mod] Legend of Korra v1.0

Hello everyone,

So recently there is this new series going on called "The Legend of Korra" which is a sequel to the original series Avatar The Last Airbender, and this show is really getting popular now to the point that Nickelodean decided to add 26 more episodes to this show, which originally was only suppose to be 12 epsisodes(like a mini-series).

With that said, I thought it would be cool to make an LF2 mod for TLOK since there is no official video game out there yet for TLOK, except for online mini games.

This is what I plan to have in this game:

Characters:
Korra (with avatar state transformation)

Mako (with lightning attacks)

Bolin (with rock moves)

Tenzin (with airbending moves)

Lin Bei Fong (metal bending moves )

Amon (which I'm can't wait to data change his moves, bloodbending action )

And... maybe Naga (the polar bear dog) and other characters like Meelo, Jinora, Ikki, Lieutenant and more (LOL)

Here's a few features that I'm planning to input in my mod
- at least 5 in-game backgrounds that are based on ATLA/TLOK
- an element system (similar to the one in the nslf2 mod)
- TLOK weapons like those rock discs that are used for pro-bending in the show

The date of release for this game at my rate, would probably be some time in 2013, if 2012 is not the end of the world that is lol

Anyways, I really need help on this mod. I'm working on this mod independtly as of now, and there is just too much more things to do in order to complete this mod. Currently, I'm looking for ppl to help me with this mod and had no luck so far. Right now, it's like I'm a dc'er/spriter/hex editor/maniac

I mainly need help now from people who can sprite really good (cuz I really suck at spriting), I'm ok with data changing (it just takes a lot of practice). I mean before I joined this forum, I didn't know how to change icons and backgrounds for the main menu of LF2, or edit the lf2 title, thnx to good helpers on this forum, I did it. If anyone could help me with my mod, that would be much appreciated. Just pm me if you're interested in helping.

Man, I talked with some mods some time ago, and they said that asking for teammates is totally a bad idea and its taken by people the same way with requesting. The best thing to do is to release a demo, or maybe show a video(not as effective as a demo), and people who will like the mod will likely join u (cuz the mod looks kinda good). U suck at spriting? Welcome to family dude!! Thats life!!!.
I think its gonna be a good mod! Never give up!!

Lfe have much spriters.
But they got theyr own things to do.
Designheaven, mundvol and someone idk is working on LoL mod.
Prince freeza and Harlequin working on dbz mod.
I do not have time (lazy arse, and others things)
apocalipse, wow, got a chance, nope, he is active but not in post.
He, siegvar and azriel i guess making game similiar to lf2 something like that.
Gad, he is fast, but he have some work i think, little assassian fighter (assassian creed mod) and polish players mod.
LutiChris, have his own projects.
Some others need to practice more.
YinYin he is great but he is not spriting now.
Matt, where is he?
Justme, you can ask him, but he is busy too.

But dude, u gotta be aware of The great EXG9...... He sprites like.......Just WOW!. If u asked him, he will sprite u hanged subjected to stabbing till death!! He is so damn good!.
EXG9, Can U please stop crushing other people hopes with ur posts and start doing something useful? cuz all watcha doing here is criticizing.
Yo avatarmaniac789, u can start making a video maybe and then come and show it here. Spriters can join u if they find something interesting in it.

well, what can i say, probably the truth. did you see how many threads like this already is on forum? one guy, who just watching his favourite cartoon/anime, trying to make a whole mod, when he don't even made although simple weapon. before joined to forum you didn't know how to change icon or background, yeah but this was some day ago, you can't learn how to make mod in a couple of day. you also can't starting from MOD. what's mean your dc skill are "ok"? show anything first. do you know how many time you have to spend on making one character? and you want to make 10. cool...
i don't wanna demotivate you, but i'm sick of mods which die usually in 2 weeks, after made thread.

@avatarmaniac, iam realy do not have anything against your idea/mod
-i havent seen much of avatar franchise if i can call it.
-i dont have much time to spend using pc.
-making 10 or more chars will take years 2 or 3. Char after char is impossible to me (getting bored)

Also, you have real life friends who whatch avatar cartoon?
If yes you could suggest your idea, you show lf2, lfe, you can come here with your friends and become spriters or dcers if you do not aware of some conflits.

start with a little project first, its not that easy.

Ok, I'lll remember next time when I post, and yeah it's hard to create a whole new mod, I understand ppl got there own mods to do and stuff.
I just want to have at least one person to work with me on this mod lol.

@The Hari- I never said making a mod would take a couple of days, I imagined it to be quite long with all the data changing thats involved (1 year or more) When I said I'm an ok data changer I meant knowing the basics and stuff like making copies of an attack. I haven't made a lf2 mod in my life yet, but I've a rough idea of how long it takes to make a good one (especially when you're spiriting the characters from scratch)

@EXG9 - My real life friends are all busy now and off on their vacation lol

@A-MAN- I love to make a video and post it here man, but I haven't started on making the backgrounds or sprites of my mod yet, There is currently just lf2 characters in it.

But do not worry ppl, I will not quit on this project because I'm seriously commited in making the mod, and srry for turning this thread into a request rather than a showcase of my creations. Well actually, it kinda was, due to the screenshots, but u get my point

You,re the MAN!!! Just don't give up! the first thing I decided when I saw the dat file was to create a mod (i am so decisive btw). And i did so (One Piece A-Edition) U can't imagine how my first 3 chars were...They were so horrible that I had to redo them. And now, I made like 15 chars already and 10 of 'em are already finished (plan to release a demo this month). U c how things go? It all starts from the scratchiest scratch.
