Judging from your current sprite-level, I am curious as well as to how much you did about the face. Anyways, the face-pic itself is good-ish. A bit blurry for my tastes, though.

Regarding the sprite, I think you should practice spriting more before going onto making a full spritesheet. Especially because the level of details is quite low. The clothes have no features whatsoever and it's actually quite hard to see a face in this as well. There are heaps of tutorials about detailing, shading, etc, around here, so it'd be best if you went ahead and study them. Also, you can then abandon the bevel-filter
