The first season of Pokémon, since I have never seen the Black and White anime.
Also, Ash gets his Pikachu.  The first season of the anime is called "Pokémon" but the games/manga are called "Red and Blue" if I remember correctly. Goten or Trunks?

Meganium, because Chikorita is my favourite Starter Pokémon from the Johto region.
