Well, it doesn't look like a girl at all. Only the face looks a bit female-ish.
At least make hair longer to give it a female hairstyle.
Make round boobs don't make them look like chest. xD
Don't try to detail fingers it makes hands look large.
Try and try till you succeed. Don't worry it will take some time and practice.

Your missing the point of the "woman base".It somewhat looks like a man,sort of,kind of,you know what I mean,in the torso part..Except for the hair and other "girl" features.I am talking about the torso.
You still have shading to do in some parts,like shirt.
And WTH is she holding in her hand? O:
Then again,I am not a good spriter so the real criticizm will be by someone experienced.
