Let me present to you, a character created by 8 13th zone members, representing its admin: Harlequin
As a crowd effort his moves aren't set in stone and he may receive major changes if any of the contributing members feel like realizing more of the concepts we've come up with.
For now this is his move set:
D>A(+A+A) Applause- create up to 3 electrical charges
you can direct the z position by walking along
D^J Electric Shield- use to block about anything
absorbs attacks for healing
D>J Antimatter Cannon- shoot one electrical charge infused with dark matter
will create a large void explosion upon contact
the rubber gun and back flip are more show than anything ;)
DvJ Void Pull- use to pull opponents close
will mess up hp regeneration upon contact
Credits with one sample contribution each:

this is the best char i ever played with!
i always paly with him, he is the most fun playing char...
im just in love with his jumping, its fun to dodge lots of attacks with it,
the only thing that is a little glitchy, when he sticks to the most upper part of the map and uses electric shield, he absorbs life...
besides from that, you all did and extraordinary job, its the best ive played till now

The knee animation looks funny. Also, I found a funny game bug when I made him DOP with applause while holding a heavy object. If that happens, the item gets treated as thrown so it can hit you if you walk to it, but when he recovers, it'll be back in his hands.
Edit:
He seems to recover too fast and he can counter attack absurdly fast. I'm not playing with my modded exe either. Are you sure you have his injured frames normal? I'll check. That appears to be normal.
AI Issue: He loves to flip out of the first kick and get punished with the second. Not good at all.
Edit 2:
I kinda feel Void Pull is overpowered especially if one were to play a no-item game. I mean, how practical is it to heal in the middle of a heated fight?
To live a life of power, you must have faith that what you believe is right, even if others tell you you're wrong.
The first thing you must do to live a life of power is to find courage. You must reach beyond the boundaries of time itself.
And to do that, all you need is the will to take that first step...
Ask not what others can do for you, but what you can do for others.

Healing is the only thing that makes John survive a heated fight. Then again the void pull has nothing to do with healing. Are you mixing things up?

When you use the move, all the dark health is gone and you don't get ANY back unless you heal. Grabbing a drink in the middle of a heated fight is very risky.

Try that move multiple times on the same opponent. And also watch his hp closer after each grab. After each time? I only see something special after the third time. All you need to do is do it twice and you're pretty much trolling. Here's a video link since I don't feel like uploading this to my YouTube account: http://videobam.com/Shckq
Anyway, if there was a way to make it remove the current dark health without stopping health recovery entirely, that would be more balanced. Edit: That or make health regen come back after the second time. I honestly prefer the latter since it seems you want this to happen somehow.
I also noticed his knee does more damage than others when they grab. Was that intentional as well?
