How to embed images in forum posts?

Getting to the point.
How do I embed pictures and animations in the forum instead of attaching it?
Do you use imageshack or what?

Step 1: Upload it to some image host (there are tons, for example: imageshack.us, tinypic.com, imagecross.com, imagehosting.com; just enter "image hosting in Google and you'll get masses of results)

Step 2: You'll usually be provided with a huge mass of code for the image (take the line in brackets), but the really essential part (and the rest can be omitted) is this here:

erm... just so that you know, you used exactly that black image for testing, I get the same picture when I use your img-address :P
