Let's say they were existing as an unique group of mercenaries, but they got fired and now they are a group of exiles/outlaws, who decided to take the lead by abolishing the government.
I know - trite.
The symbol might actually fit the situation.
The problem is - if it will be noticeable and clear enough , if I put it on a 79x79 sprite.

Yeah, something as simple as the skull:

I agree it may be difficult on those suits, they don't have many flat areas for that.

Adding a sign was too difficult for me, but If you think of anything that will be fancy, go ahead and show me.

This character can control weight of his suit. That makes him able to fly for a short time or empower his punches. Each attack executed from the sky makes his enemies highly injured.
What else that could possibly do?

Lift up even extremely heavy opponents doing a jump piledriver like the one Drew can do.

He could, instead of doing a flip after being knocked down, go into his levitating state again.
Give him an indication that lets the player know that his suit modifies gravity, otherwise one might think he's just "strong" when he's using his suit while fighting. Like I don't know, let the corresponding suit-pieces light up a little. Or use a sound effect. Something like that.

And, is he a main character as well?

Yeah definitely make the suit glow while the gravity power is in effect.

I think that's very good idea.
Totally in.

Already thought of it, but I was inspired more by Rock Lee from Naruto ;d
