about 7-8 hours before this post, im visiting LFE to see what's new, but i was shocked to see this message:

strangely, im able to enter LFE again now and nothing seems to be wrong. will the admin check this out?

This is definitely not supposed to happen. My sincere apologies for the inconvenience!

I did some research about that issue. The ban was, with a 99.9999% certainty, not placed there by a user (read: mod/admin). It was most likely caused by one of the blacklisting-algorithms. The logs say that your IP is sometimes dangerously close to the banned ranges.

A bit about the technical side; we use several filters to keep out unwanted solicitors spambots. Most of those have their origins in south-east Asia. Blocking out the regions of known bots did result in a massive decrease of spam; hence, these won't be lifted.

So, once again, I am terribly sorry for what has happened. If you ever experience something like this again, please don't hesitate to contact MH or me. Include your current IP at which that has happened so we can check back with the spambot-protection-database.

Once again, I'm not 100% sure but this is the most likely case.

i have to say, i got banned again. i thought it is just for my account and tried using another pc. i didnt even log in this time, but it still said that im banned...wtf? how can a guest be banned?

Looks like my email didn't get forwarded. Tl;dr-version:

• I've narrowed it down to the IP being responsible for it.
  
• I removed the IP-range that you were falling into at 9pm GMT yesterday
  
• I cannot investigate any further because:
  

  Include your current IP at which that has happened so we can check back with the spambot-protection-database.

  There's really not much I can do without any information.
