those sprites arent really good, try to use a character that looks similar to that guy than edit him.....or learn to sprite by doing little by little.....you can't learn to sprite or code over a day. Try to practice. oh and lf2 characters are made by doing the shape then using a color use the buket to do the different sections then use the brush to shade. I don't know where you can find a tutorial or make a video so if you have more questions.....you're on you're own.

yeah, thats sounds good(note the sarcasm). this may hurt but...being unique doesnt mean it is good. and you are trying to do this all by yourself? you should focus and practice on either sprites or dc first. i can help on dc though(if you have the sprites)
