[solved] Stage.dat not working
#1
Well I'm trying to code a bit of Stage Mode, but it's not working.

Say for example, the first enemy in 1-1 has 50 hp in the original health, and I change it to 20 hp, when I play it, the enemy still has 50 hp. When I spawn 2 bandits, only one comes :O

I've made sure that I've saved it and everything, it's in the data folder and it's named stage.dat

Help me plz :(

Did u edit the first stage.dat file or u created your own? If edited, give me the dat file in your post and I'll try to fix it for u. Anyways, makesure that other stage modes ( backgrounds or characters ) aren't flicked around with otherwise, it won't work. I'll try to fix it. Once fixed hopefully, make your re-arrangments then.

Zazz1, hey, Wongs create many version of LF2. and in stage.dat you can find TWO first and secind stages.
and 1 code reading from file and second doesnt reading. i think you're just try to change old, useless part of code)

Hey thanks I found it and it worked. But now I have another question:
Can I delete the useless stage data? And which bits of data are actually used? The second Stage 1 bit of data works, is it the same for all of them?

Yes you can delete the useless bits. LF2 will always read the version closets to the end of the file. Stage 5 appears only once so be careful when deleting stuff.
