LF2_v2.0 System Requirements
#1
I didn't know which topic to post this in, so I posted it in this off-topic category. Just wondering. How much RAM and processing power is required to run LF2_v2.0 decently? My computer at home has 2.5 GB RAM and 2.66 GHZ Processor and it's running LF2_v2.0 like slow-motion. It's not because of the graphics card; it's not lagging because when the characters throw punches and other moves they don't skip frames.

So back on-topic: What are the system requirements to be able to run LF2_v2.0 at a decent speed?

BTW it doesn't say on the official LF2 Website. That's weird.

LF2 doesn't skip frames, it just lowers FPS. Also, I think you have the requirements in the readme. They're pretty low so your machine should be above it safely. I'm not sure what could be causing this slow speed though.

something to do with the new library files needed I think (1.9c doesn't lag on your comp right?). I'm guessing it's also coz of the bgm.

Yeah, LF2_v1.9c doesn't lag at all. I had to switch to that program instead of the new one to test my Data changing work. What would be the minimum processing speed/RAM/other requirements needed to run this v 2.0 normally though (with the bgm and everything)?

That I can't really describe but like other games , LF2 also has a minimum and maximum requirments and if u want best quality , you're gonna have to use maximum requirments ( fullfill the needs for maximum quality ) .

Maybe it's because you're comp. has to much stuff in it with the memory being pretty low. Over-filled computer obviously slows down.

Then LF2 1.9 would lag too, don't you think?
I'm sure he can play big games like crysis with full speed.

Your computer is better than mine, and I can run lf2 perfectly fine... I'm guessing it is something to do with your pc's software configuration. Try getting VirtualBox and virtualizing windows XP on it, and try playing lf2 in the virtualized environment.

maybe it's because you turned on the recording function?? that's the reason why my com also slow down

Hmm, the only thing that lowers my fps rate is when I have some processor-intensive applications opened (3d-software, stuff like that). Usually I never have any problems playing. Okay, I have a pentium4 (3.2GHz), 4gigs ram, and a 256megs graphics card, not the best nowadays but definitely good enough to play lf2 ;)

Actually, I never really experienced local matches running slow. My laptop is much slower but still I have around 30fps (I can't tell, 25-40fps looks the almost the same for me :p). If you only have lf2 opened when playing, then it's really confusing me. As I said, I simply don't know what is responsible for your lag.
