Frame 0~799 exe
#1
I made a frame 0~799 exe.
But it has some BUGs.
One of them is if you write frame 400, the name of that character will go wrong.
This BUG is cause by the process using original address which we write frame 400 at to write character's name.
If we can change the address which character's name write at, this BUG would be fixed.

Hope the members can help me to find weather it has other BUGs or fixed the known BUG.

as you may know, the frame-limit in dat-files is 400 frames (0-399). Now, tomny extended the frame limit to 799. Means, you have loads of space for giving your characters attacks ;)

if lf2 and/or your computer can handle that much
i myself am not capable of using all 400 frames without having trouble loading such a dat file
(average frames with a bdy an itr and a wpoint)

i actually had to 'downgrade' maveric a bit to work on 2.0

im afraid there is no real use for 800 frames without the exe being able to truly handle it - i dont really have any ambitions to test it tho

can you enable a higher frame limit to backgrounds as well? the current limit is 30 frames for background data.

I'm not sure but I remember talking to Marti about this and he told he enlarged it to 100. I never tested it out, but...

Apocalipsis actually made a little modification of Brokeback Cliff where he needed loads of layers, and, as far as I remember, it doesn't work for him. Dunno if he really tried to exceed 30 layers or not. I'm too lazy to do so =P

@yinyin: does this happen to you occasionally or all the time? I've had that problem with a char that used 390 frames, I think, and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Same computer, same programs opened, same sequence of loading files. Wonder what causes this.... hmm.... what would actually happen if you're using txt-files? do they also crash the exe?

My all first char uses nearly all the standard frames + 236-390 or sth... and it runs fine... like it should.

Great .exe! I'm gonna try out if I get the time.

there are different levels

some border line ones have the problem occasionally as you described
some have it all the time however can be fixed by being put at the top of the data.txt (templates notincludedintherandomfunction-spot i suppose)
and some dont even work with that

but i havent seen any relation to file size or amount of frames - i suppose its the amount of tags - ie every value and frame element that has to be loaded somewhere (the actual amount of info)
which is rather hard to determine, never tried with such problematic files tho

and lf2 reads txt files normally - havent seen any significant difference
