i thought to myself, 'what happened when deeps mood changed?' one day and i made this sprite hoping to make him look like he's ready to pull off a massive swing at anyone.
so i very recently started spriting (yes, not dcing yet) a new deep. well not new deep but a new stance for deep. <== in my avatar.
maybe 5% done at this moment.
the deep in (shown in my avatar <==) has his back turned. not too fancy but it brings up a lot of new ideas of how to make his special attacks.
a swing starting far back will have more force than when in the front. so i would make his attacks stronger where sprites deemed appropriate.

Its pretty cool! I like the idea, but while walking his sword doesn't even move a bit

well i intend little movement in walking. it wont seem that much still when you play. or if you finish or make an upload soon
knowing how slow a spriter i am

Hm, I think the stance should be changed somehow. The fact that he shows us nearly always the back is kind of... annoying?

the first thing that popped up in my mind when I saw the walking was: we need dust! the sword is always on the ground during these frames, so it SHOULD create some dust :P

sry..but i dont agree in that point...the stance looks awesome and its somehow innovativ ...but for all that it still looks lf2-style (ok deep)^^

It surely looks very nice, no doubt, but... yea I think you got my point.

@dubbleD: The "walking" looks more like the running actually. If you make some "motion blur" in the middle frame you could use that much better as running sprites than walking.

ok when i find time to work new sprites rather than cut and paste, which at the moment im doing cut and paste.

well uhm..the sword doesnt reach the ground...
should might as well added a massive weapon and have him lug it around with his back turned lmao
but thats a good idea, i should consider adding 'ground' concepts into the sprites. maybe. if i dont get lazy. (after all, it was all on paint)
